What is Ozone?

 

Ozone is a naturally occurring molecule consisting of three oxygen atoms (normal oxygen has two). When one of the atoms is released, a chemical reaction takes place - which does the following:

  • Kills pathogenic bacteria, viruses, Giardia, moulds, etc.

  • Sanitises domestic, commercial and industrial equipment

  • Decomposes agrichemical residues on fruit and vegetables

  • Remove the chlorine taste and odour from drinking water

Unlike chemical disinfectants, ozone contains no harmful hydrocarbon compounds that can lead to environmental pollution, which makes it suitable to be classified as organic.
